The Tail of Mr Tod
The Feisty Fox Cub
"He was of a wandering habit and he had foxey whiskers; they never knew where he would be next" from Beatrix Potter's Tale of Mr Tod
This page is dedicated to a wonderful little creature known as Toddy. When these photos were taken in May 2000, he was about 9 weeks old, and being looked after along with 9 other cubs, and one fully grown fox. He was rescued from the Southend area. He only has 3 legs, following an accident, and therefore, can not be sent back to the wild because he needs both front legs to dig with. As well as having to deal with losing a leg, Toddy's first few weeks were spent being treated for lungworm and an infected neck wound . Here are some pictures of him, while convalescing with his foster parents.
Warning: Toddy is still a wild animal, and this site does not condone the homing of wild animals by anyone not trained to do so.
Wild animals should not be kept as pets
