Bikes

First came the Honda CB100N. How I hated and loved that bike. My first owned machine, which I lovingly stripped down and cleaned up. Time to part - Not enough GG's! Mum and Dad were so pleased I had sold it, but then I turned up on the Yamaha TZR125. Now that was a fun bike. Flew around town on that thinking I was the next Barry(ina) Sheen. Took the test and thought, "hum! what next, more GG's needed". So off I went to the local dealers, and swapped the TZR with a Kawazaki GPZ500s. "This will be no problem" well ha! It's fine for all these tall people that exist. Rather than leaning on the top of cars as I pull up to the traffic lights, I decided to buy a second hand seat and shave out some of the foam. Not a bad effort, and at least it meant I could almost touch the floor. Funnily enough Mum & Dad were none too pleased with my latest purchase, but still, nothing was really said. As the years passed I had ridden the bike less and less, but could not part with it. The sound of the twin engine had earnt her the name Thumper. That was it, I couldn't sell Thumper could I!! But I kept wondering if I had made the right decision in selling my favourite bike, the TZR. No, definitely the right choice. Not enough GG's. I needed something in between the two. Small and light, but hellishly quick and manouverable round the bends............Ha ha......An Aprillia RS250. Well, this is it. That's my lot and I am sticking to it.
